INVESTING IN OUR FUTURE AT PETERBOROUGH
We have purchased a detached self -contained factory close to the current factory in Peterborough!
Our current site in Peterborough manufactures and delivers IGUs to window installers and producers in and around the East of England. Currently, we do not have the capacity to grow due to the factory being fully occupied! This investment will enable us to increase production capacity to 24,000 IGU’s per week.
We also want to continue our journey to grow as a sustainable business and the purchase of this new site will enable us to integrate existing machinery and introduce new machinery. This will enable us to reduce our energy consumption and carbon footprint.
The new 69,000 sq ft factory will increase Glass Systems in Peterborough’s operational capacity by 40%.
The new production space will be fitted out with nearly new equipment from our current site at Peterborough and from Wales. We have also purchased a new Glaston furnace which will help reduce energy costs.
The ground floor also offers a vast working space which will be used to set up stations for Georgian bar preparation, lead, and stain application.
We are planning to start the relocation from our current factory into the new one towards the end of this year.
